Mock interview

We had been assigned into two groups where one group was interviewed by Mr Abdullah and the other group was with Mr Farouk. We had a class before the interview session began. We had been taught the dos and donts for an interview.

What to do:
1.Focus on employer's needs.
2. Listen actively to clues about employer's needs
3.Show through answers that you are interested
4. Watch out for body language and eye contact
5. Ask interviewer if you do not understand the question
6.Be positive, be enthusiastic

What not to do:
1.Appear desperate
2. Go off tangent
3. Or ramble
4. Make claims you can't back up
5.Belittle about bosses
6. Be eager to volunteer references

7. Initiate discussions on salary or benefits expectations

The mock interviews went well. I was interviewed by Mr Abdullah. Yes, i was really nervous.. But I nailed it!haha.

I am such a lucky person to be in the BESt Program. I had been given so many things, so many knowledge, so many experience. It is  more than I expected. Thanks Allah!

Three things in a row

ONE-I have been taught on how to conduct an effective meeting by Prof Mohd Khir last Thursday in one of the Best Program sessions. It was really helpful because i have never been to any formal meeting before. Prof Khir told that the most important to conduct an effective meeting is the chairman itself should talk less than any other person in the meeting. I was also told on the format of conducting a meeting started with the notice of a meeting (tells about the details of the meeting such as date, place and time), agenda of the meeting, comments or opinions and lastly on how to adjourn the meeting. I was also been told about the differences between postponement, adjournment and cancellation. where:

cancellation of a  meeting: there is a mistake in the notice of meeting details, the meeting has not been conducted
adjournment of a meeting: the meeting has been conducted, continued in the next meeting session.
postponement: the meeting is not cancel but it is rescheduled

TWO-The Best Program session is continued with resume and cover letter session where it has been conducted by Ms Farah and Ms Liza.

Effective cover letter shoud have:
a) formal letter to the desired organization
b)job position that you want
c)promote yourself
d) it should not be too long (1 page is more than enough)

Resume:
a) not more than 3 pages
b) personal details
c) career objective
d)educational background
e)skills
f)job preference
g)reference

Resume must be written properly, aligned correctly, must be very neat and can be read clearly. You must know that you only have less than 45 seconds to promote yourself and get hired!

THREE-Request For proposal (RFP)

We have came out with an idea of Eco-friendly Disposable Diapers. It is biodegradable, cost effective, safe to use product. I will tell about it later because the idea has not been finalised by our group members yet. Hopefully, this topic is going to be our final product for final presentation. :)

Microphone

I woke up late this morning. i arrived at 9.05am and started my day without having breakfast.I was reaaally hungry..!When i entered the class, Mr Hisham (our speaker for public speaking session) has started his speech. Sorry! I over slept Mr Hisham.. :)

He was interviewing my colleages or having the ice breaking session by asking or guessing some questions about us randomly such as the meaning of our name, our hobby, our attitudes etc. He was using his 'psikik power' because some of the random guesses were true. I was impressed. He also lectured and shared his experience while he gave us some tips on how to speak fluently in front of the audience.

Then, there was an activity regarding to the public speaking session. We were asked by the speakers (Miss Nani was also there) to draw a picture about something that was on our mind that time. Then, we had to present it to the class and talked about the drawing.I drew a microphone. Maybe at that moment, i sat in front of the microphone and i was triggered to draw it. I presented the drawing and talked about how i felt when i stand in front of people and i like to give out some ideas or comments on other people's opinion.I also briefly talked about my favourite speaker which was about Mahadzer Lokman. We also had a group activity, where it was more or less like the individual activity and u had to promote and sell the product.

Then,we call the day off as we've been assigned to a particular topics to prepare on the next session of public speaking.Hopefully, i am fully prepared. Pray for me guys!  

Blogging catch the attentions

What can we say about blogging?

Is it blogging is the way to deliver latest news??is it the place where u share your anger and pain?or  is it the best place to earn money?

As we all know, blog is the latest and high tech tool of writing that can be read all over the world, with the help of internet. It is a useful and very helpful way of spreading news or opinions or comments but also can be source to condemn other people's view or slandering. Hence, it depends on the way you write and the purpose of your blog.

I myself before this just loooove to read blogs but have had no intentions to write.i started once with Malay language type of entry, then it opened my eyes widely. Writing is good. Good enough as i have readers to read my blog (at least one). Is it good because i can deliver my feelings, my thoughts, my experiences and I have followers to catch my new updates. I can build my confidence despite it can reflects my opinions.As blogging becoming more interesting, i keep updating on the widgets in order to make my blog prettier.
From blogging, we also can meet new friends, sharing information about anything and commenting on their views about political issues or fascinating places to go for a holiday or about food etc. Even u can monetize the blog itself or sell your belongings (like pre-loved items) or promote your business.

 Different people will come out with different types of writings and ideas.I dont know wether my feelings are conveyed, but i just feel that i should never stop to write. :))

woah..audience!!! fasten your seatbelt!it may cause you to feel some pain reading my entry this time.hahaha.my first and foremost entry in english, it may divert your feelings about my writings (terrible writing maybe?). am i capable enough to bring the attention of my fellow readers?


hurmm...i'll start with introducing myself all over again...live in perak.degree holder of biotechnology from monash university.still unemployed but, getting busier as i joined BEST program.Feel alive after the 4 months of nothing-to-do at home. now, wandering and having a seight seeing of the hectic kuala lumpur city. what a wonderful life of nabilah samsudin.


oh!forgot the most important thing about me!!im craving for shopping at this moment!!sale is everywhere guys!!!T_T


once i left  university, my source of pocket money is over.thanks MARA for your support.i promise i'll pay back when i got a job (hopefully with a great discount on the loan) :).so, talking about my experience in spending the pocket money given by MARA, i never feel rm700 is enough for 1 month expenses (you should note this,MARA).haha!!living in Bandar Sunway taught me how to manage my own money (in a good way).Otherwise, before u reach end of the month, u will end up like me, 'mak..mayday2!can u bank in some money for ur beautiful daughter?i felt half dying by keep on skipping meals..". :))). After that, my balance account changed (i got the money, yeay!!)


During my university life, everything must be paid and settled once my money was in. If not, my life will be horrible, where there were long lists of bills waited. The rent, the electricity and water bills, w1max bill, transportation (spending on petrol but not really burden me because i rode a bike), groceries etc. Plus minus total of 300 out of 700 was fully utilised to ensure my life in sunway was comfortable. The left over of 400 must be used wisely.However, the itchiness of spending on shoes and clothes and also other thing that was not-so-important brought me to the papa kedana life where instead of i ate at mamak stall or restaurants, i ate megi or cooking my own meals.I dont love to save. I dont love to let my money stay longer with me. I will let them go. I dont love money BUT i love to spend. :)))

haiiish.korang mesti pelik.multiple entries in one day.kan2?ni gara2 kne siapkan blog assignment.jadi korang kne la baca entry aku ni y ni plak..


dulu masa kat rumah lepas je abes final exam untuk final sem, ak tak pikir pon nak buat ape lepas exam.yang aku tau aku pegi melancong ke australia pehtu aku pi lepak rumah tok dan tokki aku untuk beberapa minggu.lepas je aktivit tersebut..aku dah blank nak buat apa.ending nya aku stranded kat rumah untuk 4 bulan lamanya.duduk kat rumah mestilah best..makan tidoq makan tidoq.smpaila aku berjaya tambah 4 kilo lagi dan melayakkan ak untuk menderma darah (mesti kne lebih 45kg) y sebelum ni aku dah brapa kali kecewa timbang berat untuk derma darah.


so ceritanya kat sini bila dah syok duk rumah, aku makin liat nak gi mana2.dah try mintak kerja.takdak rezeki lagi la tu..sampai la ak grad bulan 11.aku engat nak sambung lagi cuti2 di rumah.rupa2nya ada org kol ckp dapat join BEST program.mulala aku dok pikir2 nak p ke tak.aku malas nak lepaskan peluang tinggal kat rumah parents aku sambil bil mkn, bil api air,bil tenet dan bil2 shoping aku (kiranya idup free) ni ditanggung.tapi aku pn pikir gak, drpd duk dgr mak aku mbebel2 ari2 suh buat kerja rumah.inila peluang nak larikan diri.aku pon terima tawaran tu dan stat la contact2 membe yang join.dah gather suma baru suggest nak duk mana.selamat la rumah cik intan manis ni ada.so xyhla pening2 dulu nak cari rumah sewa.


1st day orientation kat Best program ni, aku macam malas nak join sgt aktiviti y ada.yang aku tau...makanan kat hotel istana....superrrr best!yang pasti aku akan jadi org paling awal keluar and org paling lambat masuk hall balik.ade la beberapa mmbe aku yang join buat cmtu tp identiti mereka dirahsia kan..hahaha.orientation slama dua ari tu ade la aku dpt tips dari penceramah pasal interview.ade jugak pasal build up confidence and ada jugak pasal grooming.memang menarik dan sangat2 membantu.pastu statla ktorang punya class pada keesokan harinyaa.


ape y berlaku pada hari pertama kelas haritu memang syokk.tak penah aku rase ice breaking session y mcm tu.klu p mane2 motivasi or seminar, mesti kita kne berdiri dan perkenalkan diri sendiri tapi kali ni lain.kita sendiri yang kne approach kawan kita menggunakan soalan2 yang unik.memang lain dari yang lain.tiba2 je confidence level aku membuak2.trus la tiba2 aku jadi insan peramah untuk bertanya soalan bila group2 lain buat pembentangan.mungkin the whole day tu aku dibenci ramai sebab asyik2 aku je dok ty soalan.haha.sori la korang ye. :)))


mencabar duk kl ni rupanya.dari 1st day stat class, berjalan je keje.dari rumah kat hang tuah jln p lrt turun kat bandaraya jalan smpai cap square sampai la class ktorang tu.nak drive susah plak.kne pikir parking semua tu..last2 ktorag bjalan smpe rase kaki nak tercabut.dapat plak kalau pakai high heels.aiyak.penat gila aku rasa.tambahan plak sebelum ni kat rumah aku xbuat apa2..just simpan lemak je keje slama beberapa bulan.haisshh..pastu aku mayna,wani n intan rasanya akan pindah rumah lain.smpai skang xdapat lagi rumah y menawan hati ktorag.bukan xnk duk rumah ni tp kat area cni sgt bz,rasa sgt semak n serabut.


Jadinyaaa...seronok la bila dapat jumpa kawan baru, seronok bila dapat idup ngan membe2 di rumah bujang dan seronok bila dpt kebebasan sendiri bila parents takde skali.hohoho.BEST program ni memang BEST lah.!!all the BEST ye participants!

DOTA

hey guys..SELAMAT BERHARI MINGGU!! :)))


Oh yeaahh...Sangat2 heaven bila hari itu hari minggu dan bila dapat bangun lambat2 tanpa gangguan untuk pergi ke kelas ataupun kerja ataupun ape2 jela y berkaitan bangun pagi,bersiap,jalan kaki ke lrt,berebut-rebut bersama-sama org lain nak ke tempat kerja dan akhirnya menyudahkan satu hari dengan pulang ke rumah waktu senja bersama-sama dengan kepenatan y melampau.tetapi apakan daya..itu saja yang aku mampu lakukan tiap2 hari bagi mencari sesuap nasi.ewaahh over la plak. :P


Jadi, hari minggu yang berbahagia ini..aku bersama MR ulatdanlidi telah merancang untuk beriadah di pusat membeli-belah sambil menenangkan fikiran y tak sberapa tenang ni sebab duk pikir pasal duit yang habis akibat berbelanja tp syokla jugak dapat cuci2 mata.tgk barang2,tgk orang, tgk kete2 y lalu lalang dan mcm2 lagi.teheee.last2 aku pn mendapatkan barangan dapurku di TESCO y aku cintai.lpastu ktorag pn tertarik untuk meneruskan perjalanan ke THE CURVE dan nak menonton suatu benda y amat menarik perhatian terutamanya golongon lelaki..tidak kira tua, muda,pelbagai bangsa dan warna kulit serta bahasa.Semuanya terkumpul di ruang legar pasaraya tersebut sambil tertumpu ke sebuah lokasi y dipasangkan dengan screen besar dan tarikan terhadap screen besar tersebut amat kuat seolah2 tarikan besi terhadap sebuah magnet.TADAAA...tournament DOTA rupenya.ciss.

Semua org pn tau game tu bila panggilan manja si DOTA disebut2.ye..mungkinkah dota bermaksud dunia org tanpa awek?ataupun dunia org tanpa akhirat?Korang..bukanla..Dota tu Defense of the ancients.lerh...game perang2 rupanye.aku before ni tak penah pn melekat kat screen pc kat rumah tengok adik aku main game ni.tapi arini mcm tertarik nak tgk sebab semua org pn tgh tgk benda yang sama.ramai gilaaa kot.die battle between teams among malaysian and also among other countries like china, Thailand and many more.International jugak la ye game ni..tkejut gak la sebab selama ni ak engat cikai2 jela online game cmni.rupanye mmg established sungguh2 smpaikan ade tournament and dtaja oleh company yang gempak2.memang perkara baru dlm idup aku n sangat menarik untuk dibincangkan. oh lupa plak.tournament ni boleh ditonton secara live kat GARENA.Apa itu garena?yang pasti bukan sejenis makanan yang enak dimakan.garena tu mcm client game yang connectkan LAN ngan game untuk main dota guna internet. Kiranya boleh la kita bermain Dota ngan kawan2 lain dimana sahaja menggunakan internet.ada chat room skali kalau xsilap aku.  satu lagi aku baru tau gamers ni bawak sendiri dorang punye peralatan cm keyboard ke,tetikus ke and pape jela yang mmbantu dorang nak berperang.ala2 atlet gitu.pegi main kat mana2 bawak barang sendiri.yang aku tau brand razer yang jual mouse,keyboard, speaker and earphone untuk gamers.dorang ni sanggup berhabis duit beli tetikus jenama ni y mencecah rm400 kot.gilaaa kan dorang ni.tetikus y rm15 bley dapat smpai nak beli ratus2.aiyak!

Jadiii, aku tgkla 2 team ni lawan..antara china ngan malaysia.nama group dorang aku tak ingat.mebi time ni dah suku akhir.dorang ni lawan liga rasanye dan game ni pn dah blangsung semalam.siap ade komentar lagi(dorang pn act as referee).ade penyokong and there was also a situation when the people screaming and shouting to support their team and u can see the spirit of battling.rasa mcm tgk bola plak.haha.woh..dahsyat weh..haha.Aku tgk dorang setup hero untuk dorang punye team,senjata2 dorang dan strategi dorang nak lawan.mula2 aku blurr gak tau..disebabkan aku xminat game ni..aku susah nak differentiate team mane satu yang kena serang and menyerang.nasibla aku reti la sket tgk2 peta tu yang mane satu team ade kat bawah n satu team lagi kat atas.kiranya bley tgk la spe y kearah atas..that means team bawah tengah nak menyerang team atas.korang paham kot.klu xpaham jugak pegila main dota skang.


dalam 3o minit pertama aku excited la kan..tengok dorang serang2 sambil kumpul duit (farm) untuk beli senjata bg persiapan nak lawan hero2 antara team.mata aku tak berkedip pn.at the same time, the teams were also trying to attack each other heroes. Once the hero die, people were screamed and clapped.oii korang..!!tak perlu kot.haha.tapi ape nak buat,aku sendiri pn tak paham nape dorang perlu sorak and tepuk tangan kuat2.ngekngok la aku ni kann..pegi tempat y aku sendiri pun xpaham.tp xpe..layan jela.cara nak tau team ni menang bila dorang dah berjaya musnahkan team lawan punyer tower.aku tak engat nama tower tu.punyela sebelum ni aku faham sape bunuh ramai orang kat team lawan, dia menang.salah rupanya.cis lagi skali.


Selepas 1 jam, kepala aku dah mula sengal2.duduk pn dah tak betol dah.dah la duduk bersila atas lantai.aku pn rasa dah xselesa kat tengah2 orang ramai.aku try la tunggu lagi 15min.agak lama la jugak dorang main sebab dorang ni play safe rasenye.serang2 sket pastu fold back.pastu serang balik bunuh hero sket pastu fold back.tiba2 serang balik ngan hero equipped with senjata mahal.last2 aku pn dah give up.aku konpiden aku sangat2 annoying kat mata MR ulatdanlidi sebab everytime orang serang je i kept on asking..eh ape y berlaku?hero sape y kena bunuh?skang ni sapa y tengah lawan?smpe la satu tahap aku tanya..haiiii bila la nak abes ni?bila dorang nak kalah ni?nasibla kau mr ulatdanlidi..last2..aku bangun pegi toilet.tinggalkn MR ulat dan gamenye.smpe la battle tu dah abes.betapa gembiranya aku.hahaha.balik aku pn penin2 sebab tgk screen sgt lama.kiranya lepas ni kalau ada org tanya pasal dota takde la ak kosong je kan.boleh la sembang sket2.hohoho chow~

TERIMA KASIH kepada BEST PROGRAM because of u, i've started a blog even i know im not interested to write or share anything about me publicly.
ini memang perkara baru dalam hidup saya (haha) as before this, i just love to blog hopping for reading and enjoying and feeling and commenting and thinking other people's opinions about something or their personal life.

im new but will catching up with this new hobby and will keep u updated after this. please bear with me. :))))
